Waipahu Elementary School is currently participating in the COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION for the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Programs. This Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) provides an alternative approach by offering free school meals to all students through the USDA Child Nutrition Programs. The CEP uses information from other programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Temporary Assistance Program for Needy Families (TANF) to qualify a school. There is a simple form called a Family Household Survey for Waipahu Elementary which all students must complete and return, instead of the traditional Free/Reduced Meal Applications.
This is great news for you and your child(ren)! All enrolled students at Waipahu Elementary School will be eligible to receive one healthy breakfast and one lunch at school at no charge to your household each day. Additional meals or single milk will require prior payment.
